Abstract
Java and Spring are in a state of constant evolution, and new technologies never stop emerging. It’s not just our applications’ tech stacks that needs to stay up to date - the developers building them need to stay up to date as well.
The real challenge for organisations is distinguishing fleeting hypes from genuine trends and building organizational knowledge at the right time. In this talk, we’ll demonstrate how to use a Tech Radar to identify relevant trends strategically and structurally—no crystal ball required.
But what do we do with these predictions? How do we actually bake that expertise into the team’s DNA? We’ll discuss why we’re advocates for Mob Training and walk through the entire process using real-world examples: our experience with Fullstack TypeScript, the shift from Java to Kotlin, and our initial steps with Flutter and Quarkus.
